Additional Graduation Criteria
Passing State Assessments
- Reading (FAST)
- Score a level 3 or higher as a Sophomore
- Can earn concordant score after 10th grade year
- End of Course Exam: Pass with a score level of 3 or higher and counts as 30% of final grade
- Algebra 1
- Biology
- Geometry
- US History
Completion of a Acceleration Credit
The State of Florida expects all high school students to graduate with at least one accelerated opportunity. We provide one opportunity per year for every student in grades 9-12.
What does Accelerated Opportunity mean?
- Advanced Placement (AP) class (must pass the AP exam in order for the state to recognize as accelerated)
- AICE class (must pass the AICE exam in order for the state to recognize as accelerated)
- Dual Enrollment (DE) class (passed with C or better)
- Successfully earned an Industry Certification (IC)
Community Service Hours (e.g., 40 hours minimum)
Postsecondary Readiness (college or career planning milestones)
